FAQ
What people ask most
Do I need to install anything?
No. FormaKit3D runs in your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) on any computer. Parts are computed on your own device: nothing is uploaded to any server.
Does it work with my printer?
Yes. It exports STL and 3MF, which open in every slicer (Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer, Cura and others). You pick your printer’s bed size and the app warns you if something doesn’t fit; large parts can be split with joints.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes: every tool and every parameter works without a license. The only thing that needs a license is exporting the files to print.
What’s the difference between Commercial and Commercial Plus?
With Commercial you can sell the printed parts. With Commercial Plus you can also sell the digital files (STL / 3MF) you design with the app. Neither allows reselling or sharing the app itself.
Is it a one-time payment?
Yes. Licenses are paid once and last for life, including the new tools we keep adding.
On how many computers can I use it?
One device per license. If you switch computers, release the device from the app and activate the license on the new one (up to 2 changes every 30 days).
How do I pay?
With PayPal from any country, using your PayPal account or a credit or debit card without an account. In Uruguay you can also pay with MercadoPago. As soon as the payment is approved, your key shows up in the app and arrives by email.
What if I lose my key?
Use Recover my key with the email you used to buy, and we’ll send all your keys there.
Do my exported files carry anything of mine?
Exported files include your license number in their internal data. It isn’t visible on the printed part: it helps identify copies shared without permission.
